Catrina
Catrina

What I love the most of Mexican culture is the Day of the Dead. The way artists and the community portray Death is unique and charming; something that is generally seen as tragic or horrifying is transformed into a celebration of life and memory of those who are gone. In this illustration for Inktober 2016, the Catrina is visiting the altars and is helping to bring the spirits of the dead so that they can spend one day with their family.
